Not sure what to say?

Mel use to travel from Bakersfield to Delano to train with me and a couple other guys at Figs gym. Mel although only weighing 165 lbs was incredibly strong. He would motivate all of us to train harder. We would often make bets on who could out perform the other on a specific lift and I often had to buy Mel lunch. Cool guy. Did not know he had passed. RIP.

Let your fondest memories live on. Friends Always Benjie

I am very sorry to hear of Mel's passing, I met and played Pickleball with Mel and his wife Janet at BRC. Mel was such a friendly kind gentleman.

Frank & I were saddened to hear of Mel´s passing. We were very fond of the entire family, Mel, Janet, Matthew & Anthony. We truly enjoyed playing on the OLPH Church softball team with your family. When we read the article we were surprised to hear about Mel´s extraordinary life and also to see that Matthew lives in Nipomo because Frank & I moved to Nipomo 3-1/2 yrs ago and we love it. We do get over to Bakersfield occasionally to see family but unfortunately we won´t be able to attend Mel´s...

I met Mel four years ago. He was so sweet and kind and an amazing pickleball player. Thank you Mel for playing with me when I was just starting. I have missed not seeing you on the courts. You will forever be remembered in my heart.

Janet, Matthew and Anthony..I am so sorry to hear of your loss of such a beautiful soul. Reading this brought back so many memories of Mel back when I worked with Janet at Troy's office. This was written so beautifully of a life well lived. I will keep you all in prayer as you move forward in the days to come. Hold tight to your memories that you have made together and allow them to comfort you. God Bless you all.
