Not sure what to say?

We will forever miss this great man. Our prayers to all the family. God bless.

I am so sorry for your great loss. May the God who "binds up the brokenhearted" and "comforts all who mourn" sustain you during this difficult time. (Isaiah 61:1,2) With sincerest sympathy.

My deepest sympathy to your family, May you keep in mind the hope of life
everlasting which can help sustain you through this difficult time-John 17:3

I am just now learning that Mel passed away and that truly breaks my heart. Mel was a client of mine and all I remember about Mel is giving this young guy a chance to earn Mel's business and I did. I learned a lot from Mr. Burder and his stories of a long law career would just amaze me. To Gale and the rest of Mel's family I just wanted you to know as I'm sure you do. You will be missed. Our prayers to your family.

Mel

I enjoyed our many visits and lunches at the annual Advanced Criminal Law Course in San Antonio as well as our occasional visits while we worked in Dallas. Your humor was unmatched and will be greatly missed, as will you. Take your talents and wits to the next level. I hope to see you again one day my friend.

A good man and an excellent lawyer. He will be missed by all that knew him.

in time of trouble or need, god looks over us
we only knew mel a short few earth years but he will be with us for a lifetime with love, memory and respect by our family
our family was in need, aunt sissy had me contact close family member larry cotton. one call to larry, he was sitting with mel, whom he stated was not only a great legal mind, knew the law and appreciated a great cup of coffee probably from mcdonalds
mel did all three plus whatever it took to help us through troubled...

We send our love and prayers to Gail and the entire family. Mel was one of a kind. Such a great example of what an attorney should be. He was much more than that, he was also a great friend.

He was, is and always will be thought of fondly by our family. Rest in Peace Dear Friend,
Thomas (Bud) Fowlkes & Family.
