Mel was one of my favorite people. I always looked forward to him coming to TN. to work w/ my husband! Mel was wonderful w/ our children. I’ll never forget taking Mel & Sheilah to Opryland & Sheilah said, “Look at the cows!” In TN. seeing a cow for me was an everyday thing. Then at Opryland they had people riding horses to give visitors directions. Sheilah was afraid of the horse:). I miss seeing both Mel & Sheilah. Ron & I just heard of Mel's passing through friends at Dollar General in Scottsville. Please know our thoughts & prayers are with you and your family. We are so sorry to hear of your loss. Mel was a very special person who brings back many fond memories for us.
