Not sure what to say?

Meredith's impact on Herb Booth, Jack Cowan, and Al Barnes and thus an entire generation of Texas wildlife artists can not be underestimated. Any emerging artist can tell you, answering the question "How can I make a living, pay my bills, and raise my family as an artist?", can be the most challenging question to overcome. Meredith's support and advocacy answered that question for these three instrumental artists in the earliest days of their careers. He recognized their talent, and made...

Nina and family,

I was saddeded to learn of Meredith's passing and fondly remembered my days working for him at Meredith Long & Co in the early 70s. Meredith was a firm, fair employer and a generous man outside of his gallery. His achievements in the art world speak for themselves.

All my best,
Jim Davidson

Although I did not know Meredith, I know how much he meant to Nina and Michael Zilkha, my dear friends. He was wonderful to them .

It was an honor to know Meredith. He was always warm and outgoing. Houston and our community lost a great man who cared about others around him. Our condolences go out to the family.

Our condolences for all those who knew and loved Meredith.

What a wonderful life, for him and all those who loved and cared for him.

It is an honor to know him, his family and the incredible live story.

To Cornelia and Family, this beautiful tribute brought back so many memories from childhood to the present. Meredith and Cornelia have always been so loving to all of the pack of friends as they watched us grow from childhood to present day Seniors. Meredith suffered our youthful shenanigans with the patience of a saint.

What a life well Lived!

Although I never met Meredith, my father-in-law, Herb Booth, talked about how Meredith is the reason many years ago he ended up in Rockport, and Merediths support and influence allowed him to fulfill the dream of being a career artist. Meredith obviously impacted Herb and Sandys life, but as that trickled down, influenced Herbs sons, and indirectly my own life as I met and married Jim, who if it wasnt for Meredith taking a chance on a little known artist in the early 70s, would never have...

Meredith Long was such an incredible friend to my father and his beloved Texas Heart Institute. They shared a love of the University of Texas, the Texas Cowboys, and conservation in the state of Texas. We are all so grateful for his dedicated leadership to the Texas Heart Institute. I will miss his wonderful sense of humor and gentlemany demeanor. My sincere condolences to the whole family. My family will so miss this wonderful man.
