FRAZIER
After a courageous battle with Lewy Body Dementia, Meriwether Lewis Frazier, age 83 years entered rest with Our Lord and Savior on May 16, 2013. He was born December 11, 1929 in Oakland, California, He was preceded in death by his parents Lucy Scott Frazier and Harris Lamar Frazier; his brother, Charles Waters Frazier; his beloved first wife, Jean Partain Frazier. He is survived by his loving second wife, Patricia Banonis Genty Frazier; his children, John Timothy and Lisa Frazier, Kathryn and Frank Andrew, Mary Barron, Cynthia Frazier, Marjorie and Ron Lightsey, Dr. Meriwether Lewis and Sarah Frazier, Jr. Step-children, Pablo Genty, Patricia and Carlos Andrade, Judith Genty, Carlos and Lora Genty, Alberto Genty; sisters, Lucy Kammer, Mary Kathryn Elkins, and brother-in-law Bob Elkins; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Lewis resided in Texas. He graduated from Central Catholic High School in 1948, and Texas A&M University in 1952 as a Geologist. He served in the US Army Reserve for 30 years and retired as Colonel. He worked for Cities Service Oil Co. (Citgo), The City of Houston Water Division. He is descended from the family of the explorer, Meriwether Lewis. He was a member of the Lewis and Clark Trail Heritage Foundation Inc. for over fifteen years and the Model A Ford Club in Houston and San Antonio. His hobbies were traveling, fitness, genealogy, stamp collecting, and mineralogy. Visitation will begin on Tuesday, May 21, at 6:00 P.M. with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 P.M. at the Angelus Chapel. Funeral Mass will be offered on Wednesday, May 22, at 9:30 A.M. at St. Joseph's Chapel, The Village of Incarnate Word, 4707 Broadway, 78209. Interment will follow at Mission Burial Park South with military honors. In lieu of flowers memorials (or donations) may be made to the Village of the Incarnate Word Retirement Community, 4707 Broadway, San Antonio, TX 78209. I knew Lewis for only a very short time, during the last year I became very fond of Lewis, I wish now that Judith, Pat and I could meet one last time for a Sea Island Picnic in the Sun room. Rest in Peace Lewis.
