Merl Eugene Short

Merl Short was my boss in Singapore while being posted by Quadion Group of the US to head Minnesota Rubber Asia Pacific 30 yrs ago. Great pastorly respectable fatherly figure n great boss very soft-spoken gentleman. With deepest condolences to family members. Jasmine Soh of Singapore

I only knew Merle for a short time (no pun intended) while I lived behind his brother's house (Lyle) back in the early 90's. I would visit the Sunnyside café and play cards with Merle and Lyle's son, Mark. Those were good times. Mr. Short was a true gentlemen. He was always quick with a good story. I moved away (to Aztec) in 1996. I still see Mark once in a while, but always ask how Merle was going. Sorry to hear of his passing. The Short's are good folks!!

Sorry to hear of Merl's passing. He was always so friendly and let Nan and I hike up Short Canyon. I still remember him riding on his horse-drawn wagon up and down the county road by our house.

Merl Short was a great man and highly regarded by my family, I always enjoyed his comments as a child in 4-H and at the fairs, he taught me a lot growing up, and a great friend who will be missed by all......Robert Boyd
