Not sure what to say?

I was one of Dr. Foss' students at the University of Michigan, when the exercise science program was still part of the Division (now School) of Kinesiology. He had a talent for combining academic material with historical anecdotes, which made class really interesting, something I've since learned is difficult in a class full of teenagers and early twenty-something year olds. Deepest sympathy to Peggy and all Merle´s family and many friends. Merle was a relentlessly positive man who did so much good for so many people. He loved his life and brightened many lives in his long journey with us.

To Merle's family, I am so sorry for your loss. I first met Merle several years ago in Tolley,ND. It was always a joy to see his rig parked in front of Wes's Bar. I knew I was in for a nice conversation and probably a great story. Merle will be greatly missed.

Sorry to just now hear of Merle. Another great Enderlin friend gone. I will miss him

Another loss of the Swedish Club.

I´m sorry about Merle´s passing.

Our man to be deeply missed.

Merle was a good friend and a great entertainer. At handball tournaments his humorous storytelling and singing were really enjoyed.
