Not sure what to say?

Donna and Diane ,
I loved living in the same apartment as
them. Uncle Merle would make sure the car started. They would have me over for drinks in the evening. That time was a lot of fun for me. And that was when they were excited about having their first grandson . Uncle Merle will be greatly missed.

Donna, Diane, and Family,

I am so sorry for your loss. I remember Merle's warm welcomes whenever we would gather for family events. I also remember his uplifting smile and his optimism. Dads are special people. Enjoy the memories.

Sorry for loss of your dad! He was a great uncle, I remember going to Lake Piceral with them. I learned how to cook steaks from him, always put butter on them while they were grilling. Will truly miss him. Tad & Brenda Fiegen and family

My condolences to the Goedken family for your loss. May our Heavenly Father strengthen you throughout this most difficult time.

Donna, Diane & families.
We are so sorry to hear of the death of your dad. He was a very kind man. We have many fond memories of him. One in particular is at the time of my mother's illness and eventual death, I was invited to stay at your folk's house in Sioux Falls. Your dad would drive me to and from the hospital each day for over 2 weeks. The weather was very cold etc. I had A hot breakfast and a delicious evening meal each day.
He was so proud of his "twin girls".

Diane and Donna:

We tore the floor out of the old schoolhouse together, fixed a lot of fence and shelled a lot of corn. In return for my help down at Elk Point, he gave me my first pocket knife. He always brought his own water jug along because the water at the farm didn't agree with him.

When Jean and Joan lived in the same apartment building as your...

I was saddened to hear of Uncle Merle's passing. May your memories of him comfort you. For me, I will remember how he was always kind to me whether he came for a visit to the farm or whether we were in Sioux Falls for a visit. I will keep all in my prayers.

Donna, Diane & families,
I am so very sorry to hear about the loss of your dad. Uncle Merle was always full of stories and good card tricks. I am fondly remembering the laughter, dancing, and hunting trips he enjoyed when visiting our farm in SD. Thinking of all of you. Prayers to all, Mary Thomas Steiner (and family)
