Merle, my husband, my love, my life, my sweetheart...The loneliness I feel for you cannot be described. I don't know how to go on without you. I am empty and lost. I can only be comforted by your promise to watch after me and to be by my side until we meet again and you are standing at the gate of heaven to welcome me. I believe you and will forever love you with all my heart and soul. Until we meet again.........Your Wife,
Dorothy

I will cherish all of the wonderful memories we shared from the first time I said hello to you when I was 10 years old to 35 years later when I said goodbye. Listening to you break into your favorite ditty, "Oh Lord it's hard to be humble, when you're perfect in every way"...will bring a smile to me every time I think of it. All of your support, encouragement, and stories will be cherished in my heart forever. I will miss you!
