Merle Lewis

Merle and I were good friends at East High School, both from the class of 1960. I read where Merle passed away on our class website and was instantly saddened. Merle, what a nice guy! I am honored to have known him. One thing is for sure, he's in heaven now. I wish Merle's friends and family God's help in working through his passing,

Just wanted to tell all of you the I,and my girls were deeply saddened to hear of Merele's passing. All of you are like family to us and he was a great person who we always thought highly of. I last saw him at Dillions. He was having some troubles ,seemed a bit lost,so I chatted with him a bit and walked through the store with him helping him to find the things he was there for. I am sorry to hear this news about Merle. We grew up together just a few blocks away and attended Skinner grade school and Mathewson Jr.High. then he went to East High and I went to North High. but we remained friends all along. We would tell stories about Germany because we both were there in the Army but at different times. He was always the gentleman and will be missed.

Merle was a great neighbor and friend, Skeates will miss their talks. Our hearts are sad and we want to be there for Patty. Our prayers go out to Patty and their family.

Us three girls have wonderful memories with Uncle Merle! My love and prayers go out to the family. May he rest in eternal peace. God comfort you all !
