to you and your family at this
time of sorrow.

I am very sorry for your loss.
I had the privilege of serving under Merle as one of his firefighters from 1983-1985 while I lived in Vernon. He always cared for his people and department and community, a very nice man and a good Chief.

They aren't made like that anymore. Rest In Peace, Chief Nell.

They don't come like that anymore. Rest In Peace, Chief Nell.

Dear Todd, Lisa, and Family:
I am sorry to hear of your loss. Prayers are with you during this time of sorrow.

Mr Nell was my family's postman. It's an honor to know he was a part of many meaningful mail exchanges for the Lather family. As a lil girl, I remember him being kind and hard-working. One person, of many, who made Vernon a special and safe place to grow up. My sincere condiolences to the Nell family and friends. Prayers for comfort and strength in the days and years ahead. Peace, Cindy Lather Wheeler Valatie, NY
