MERLE NANCY SCOLNIK

I met Merle when I was substitute teaching at Marquette Elem. That must be 40 years ago! Whenever we saw each other we exchanged greetings and smiles, even though our contacts were brief. I’m grateful for having known Merle, and send my sympathy to family and friends.

A beautiful soul indeed!

Dear Merle,
What an amazing woman. You have been an example to me of love, family, faith, service to others and fun. We loved having you in our Red Topped Mamas chapter all these years. I especially remember all the fun we had traveling the country to the International Conventions. And the special gathering you held for the 20 of us at your home where you shared Hanukkah with us, singing, praying, eating and playing a game. It goes without saying that Karen and I loved Merle dearly. I will never forget seeing her smiling as you walked Karen down the wedding isle. Merle made me so happy each and every time I saw her. The warm kiss and hug she would give, to me was her signature trademark. I will pray for you and your family. We love you and I know Merle was a gift to everyone.
