Dear Gary, Nancy, Tom, Cathi and families- Your Mom meant the world to us! When we came to the neighborhood 21 years ago, your parents were the first ones to welcome us with a batch of goodies! We couldn't have asked for better neighbors. They were both so interested in everything and so interesting to visit with. We miss your Mom terribly. I look at that kitchen window every time I go by the house. Please know that our thoughts and prayers have been with all of you.

Gary & Nancy,
I was lucky to have known and enjoyed the company of Merle (she will always be Mrs. Wilson to me) for more than 35 years. We celebrated many joyfull holidays as an extended family. I will always remember her delicious carmel corn (store bought corn cannot compete!), her wonderfully decorated Christmas cookies and back in my single days her asking "Are you bringing your special fella?" She was a woman with so much dignity and grace....I will miss her.

Love, Carrie...

Gary & Tom , and families,

Both of your parents were such wonderful people and an asset to our neighborhood. Your dad, Ted, and mine, "Freddy" played golf for many years in their senior league. I got to know your mom better in recent years as she became a treasured guest for Thanksgiving and sometimes Easter dinners. She was always the picture of a classy, stylish woman. We were sad to have her leave our neighborhood but are now glad that she could have family nearby for the last...

Nancy, I just read the most beautiful, touching obituary for Merle. I wouldn't expect anything less from you two. It was an honor to spend such an intimate and vulnerable time with Merle. I can count on both hands the number of families and patients who have left a special feeling in my heart. Merle and your family are now in my heart forever. Your commitment, compassion, and unconditional love was such a joy to watch. I hope you and Gary are well. My thoughts are with...
