Not sure what to say?

To the extended Zimmerman family,

Merle will be missed in many ways, but very much so by all of his neighbors here in Baytree.

Additionally, he will be missed by his musical family, the Community Band of Brevard.

With love,

Tom and Donna MacDonald

Dearest Linda and Carol, I offer my deepest sympathy to you both and to the whole family. As a little girl living on Prospect Avenue, I loved going to the Zimmerman house when I was playing with Linda and listening to Merle play the organ. It is one of my fondest childhood memories. I always loved his sweet smile and kind manner (and he always obliged me by playing the organ when I came over).

Dear Norma, Carol, and Linda,
I was so sorry to hear of Merle's passing and I am praying for your hearts to be at peace, knowing he is in the arms of his Savior. My sister, Debbie, my brother David, and I grew up across the street in Cocoa, and cherish those memories. He was always so kind and understanding and I never saw him raise his voice or get angry even when we did silly things. He was a blessing to all who knew him.

Merle was a special cousin in our family. Lowell's memories take him back to those days in Hornell when Lowell (5 years younger) looked up to highschooler Merle as someone very special, especially when he came up to the Swarts farm and we went exploring in the deep woods and refinding the cold water spring again each time. Lowell remembers so fondly the Zimmerman band that assembled at holiday celebrations in Grandfather Zimmerman's home, and Merle's musicianship. Skipping many decades,...

Our Deepest Sympathy to Norma and family for the passing of Merle. He was a wonderful person and we have had many pleasant memories working with him through the Dunkin Donuts business.
