Merle---We were with you the last three weeks that you spent here---We were at Fairview---and since you couldn't shave yourself we did it for you---The first time was 5:00 AM when we figured you were ready to look really good--as you aways did.

Scotie and family----Dianne and I are here for you---I think you know that. We miss you Merle ---even after being together for each other the last 52 years

Merle was a wonderful mentor to me when I worked at CSB for him. The lessons he taught me during that time have stayed with me. Both professional lessons and his role as a father and husband that he took to heart. I have thought of him fondly through the years. I feel blessed to have known him. May God Bless your family with only the fondest of memories.

Some of the fondest memories and warmest times were with our wonderful group of friends in St. Cloud many many years ago. We have traveled far and wide since but folks cannot compare to the people we knew back in St. Cloud! Just knowing that you must move on to another chapter in your life, Scottie, brings tears to my eyes. Merle was such a gentleman; a sweetheart! Sending heartfelt sympathy to you at this time. Merle will surely be missed in the physical life but will always be with you from Heaven above.

I have many great childhood memories with you all; especially remembering Merle from over the years at Lab school, to St. Joe choir and handbell practices, to his work on projects around the home- Merle is a part of lots of great memories and is remembered fondly today.

I remember the days when you lived next door to Jerry and Patty, for all your love, kindness and friendship that surrounded us in our time of need. Merle was always there, with his sincere and caring heart.

Please know that Merle is at peace, and now as your guardian angel, he will be looking out for your family. And you may well receive "visits" from him.
