Merrick C. Shook

Merrick was always a joy to spend time with. I will miss his passion for Trinity and Villanova basketball, he never failed to ask me how my teams were doing. It seems so small, but Merrick was the kind of guy who remembered things about you and made a point of making you feel like your opinion was valued. I will always remember the dignity, courage and grace he showed throughout the process of his diagnosis. I have been blessed to have had him as a neighbor and a friend.

Your loss is bittersweet...he is at peace, but leaves such a void in your
lives. My heart goes out to all of you.
But know as time goes on, you will find your way forward with all the precious memories of him, enriching your lives as he has done in the past.

Merrick was a wonderful neighbor and friend, and a mentor to our son, Josh. We will remember him for his kindness, his love and joy in his family, his faith, his passion for the Cards and the Lions, and his incredibly tidy garage. We will miss him terribly.

Merrick, we had many good years together. All those golf trips and so many vacation winters in Naples are all our good memories. I am sure you now have been welcomed at your heavenly home. You will be missed.

Merrick, you were such a sweet and gentle person. I'm so happy our paths crossed.Rest in peace and know you will greatly be missed.
