Not sure what to say?

To all mom's friends, family and admirers: thank you for your thoughts, memories and kind words that you took the time to share here. Know that your words give us comfort and that we, her children, are grateful for your willingness to express these feelings.

Mom has been gone for a month now and it hardly seems real, though it probably never will.

Each day we are blessed to hear her voice and spirit through the countless pieces of art, poetry, journal entries and...

Kerri,
I'm glad you could share with me a few stories of your mom. I can see how her joy of life will always live on in you.

Kerri, I'm so sorry to hear of your mother's passing. Your brother wrote such a wonderful obituary. What a loving tribute to her.

Dear Donya, Kerri, Doug, Reese and David,
I am so sorry to hear about the loss of your mother. So many years have passed, but I still remember our high school days and hanging out at your house.....It was always an adventure and your mother was so full of life!!! I know she will be dearly missed and my thoughts and prayers are with your family.

Peetie had so many stories, the great southern accent, and she was always smiling. I knew if Peetie was coming over to your house it was going to be fun. You all were blessed to have her. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

Dear Donya, Kerri, Doug, Reese and David, We were so sorry to hear that Peetie had passed away. She was such a lovely lady. We have many fond memories of times spent with her and all of you. The loving tribute in the paper was a poignant account of her life and accomplishments. She touched so many lives. Our heartfelt sympathy, Uncle Norm and Aunt Betty

Grandma Peetie, you were the best thing I ever could have asked for, and my birthday just wasn't the same this year without one of your painted cards with all the crazy stickers everywhere, and of course, your beautiful handwriting. I miss calling your house and hearing your one of a kind voice gasping and being so surprised that I, your granddaughter, would be calling you on the phone. I miss all the questions you would ask me in letters, like the one time you asked me to make a list of ten...

I am so sorry to hear about your mom's passing. She was a very sweet lady and always fun! I have such great memories of coming over to your house when you lived in Gainesville, and your mom would always feed us and hang out with us, and I just thought she was the coolest mom ever!!
I am so saddened to hear the news, and wish I could have seen her again.
She was a very special lady and touched many hearts with her sweet smile.
