I have fun memories of Merrill from our childhood days. Your extended "Howard" family (from your mother, Afton Howard Hardy) enjoyed following Merrill and his success with the BYU football team. In our older years, we both ended up in St. George, Utah. Whenever I visited, despite the pain, he always insisted on standing to greet me. I can picture the grand reunion with so many of our dear Samuel & Melissa Howard family. 'til we meet again.'
