Read MoreI had the delight of visiting Merrill where he was living. I remember the first time I shook his hand, how his hands were so large they swallowed my hands in his. His handshake was firm but gentle. I knew he must have used those hands in a trade, and was fascinated to see he had owned an upholstery business.
