Merry Young

Merry was a great friend. She had so many interesting stories about her life. She was a very smart lady

I knew Merry years ago from the time we both ushered at Chamber Music NW in downtown Portland. She was a wonderful person to usher with - always interested in the music and in helping people get to their seats. She always walked from her work as a paralegal and took the bus regularly. I was able to drive her home occasionally as we both lived in north Portland. She was a delightful person and a joy to be with. Her love of music (and also films as I recall) was immense! Max and Jude, I haven´t seen Merry for many years and was sad to hear of her death. I knew her for so many years and always thought she was wonderful. But I realize I knew so little about her life and regret never having spoken to her about that. I wish you and your families the best, and know you will get comfort from many memories of your mother.
