Mervin W. Hoverter, 61, of Carlisle, died Friday in Hershey Medical Center.
He was retired as a Warehouseman for Kinney Shoe Corp. He was a member of the Keystone Men's and Tuesday Night Men's Bowling Leagues of the American Bowling Congress.

I used to work for Kinney Shoes, back in 1970-1973. Mervin was my supervisor. He was wonderful. I was 18 at the time. I'm sure I got mad at him too. I'm 50 now and still remember his pearls of wisdom.
