Mervin Louis Lane Jr.

I am Mervin's cousin and he was a significant inspiration in my life though we were different ages, I am a couple decades younger. These memories of him shared here are special to read. If any of his family sees this here, I hope they will be in touch, I would love to connect. I am a professor in Atlanta for many decades now in great part due to the alternative path Mervin blazed and which in many ways I followed.

What an incredible Teacher! Taught me to Love Domes, Fuller, Hatha Yoga and homemade Yoghurt. His Wisdom was always in in his shining Eyes, the Window to the Soul he would say! An Inspiration to all Thinkers and caretakers of Our Humanity. He will be remembered by us All!

Merv was one of the most significant educators in my experience, his knowledge and wisdom continue to influence many facets of my life. As I read Bucky to my own students I recall the joy Merv exhibited when speaking of enlightening the broader path and avoiding the narrow way. I am grateful for the few times that we have reconnected over the last 40 years and only regret it were not more often. Rest well good human, you've made a difference.
