Mervin Mattos

Our thoughts and prayers are with you during this time, Arlene (and family). We just learned the news and are heartbroken. . .sending our love and hugs from afar. We are so thankful for having such wonderful neighbors and friends for so many years. . .our lives are richer and we have been so blessed. Praying that you find comfort and strength in the days ahead.

Merv Mattos was a fine Native Son of the Golden West. May you rest in eternal peace in the Grand Parlor on High. My sympathy goes out to the entire Mattos Family on this great loss.

I had known Merv for such a long time as we both worked for Stanislaus County at the end of the war and off and on contacts through the years - then, of course, a renewed friendship with the two of you and your entire family through our mutual association with Guide Dogs for the Blind. Wonderful when a marriage like yours lasts for so many years. I keep you in my heart and in my prayers, Arlene. Carol Ashmun
