Not sure what to say?

Liesel and Kerry, Your father meant so much to me as a mentor, partner in business, fellow Rotarian, and employee in several business ventures. I will miss his frequent visits to the "Mens Club". Never a "bashful" man, he didn't hold back his opinion on any topic. He always had a way of smiling that made you think he knew a lot more than he was telling you. He will always be dear to me as my friend and MENSCH (defined as someone good, kind, decent and honorable)and I will miss him.

Love you & miss you so very much, Dad!

Thank you to all those who signed this guest book for your condolences. I'm so happy to read that my Dad made such a big difference in so many people's lives, & that he will be missed so dearly.

My thoughts and prayers are with Merv's family. He and I shared many enjoyable times together during the past 68 years.
R.I.P., Merv

As a junior high school friend and again at UCLA I was fortunate to have revived our friendship this past year. Several lunches together and many email connections only reminded me of Merv's warmth, caring and ability to understnd his illness. The honors received are well deserved and he will be sorely missed.

Merv Kopp was always upbeat, smiling, soft spoken and kind. He made me smile and feel comfortable when we would meet. My prayers to his family.

I was in Mr. Kopp's Leadershiop class at Marina del Rey. I never knew his first name, he was always a Mr. to us, but I have very fond memories of an energetic, enthusiastic and very personable teacher. I also remember when he married our English teacher, Mrs. Robertson. I wish to send my condolences to his family and friends, as I am sure he will be greatly missed. His influence was widespread, throughout his lifetime as I am sure there are others from his past who remember him.

What we will miss most about Merv is his ready smile, being upbeat, and willingness to reach out to contact you. He played a great game of softball too!
Fond memories,
Evy & Bob Kopp

In 1962, 21 years old and fresh out of college, I joined the faculty of Marina del Rey Junior High School. Merv had just transferred to MdR and we were fellow "newbies" at the school. Our young and enthusiastic group of teachers were a cohesive, supportive and fun group. To this day, many of us keep in touch and with the advent of email, Merv has been a loyal correspondent and good friend. Liesel and Kerry, I am sorry for your loss and will think of you often. I will sure miss Merv's emails...

Merv was a wonderful guy and a valuable member of our Rotary Club. I appreciated his advice as I began my year as club president. God bless you Merv...my favorite Kopp!
