Mervyn Lea Rudee

Lea and Betsy were the masters of Wiess College while I was an undergraduate at Rice. Due to sabbaticals and job changes, we had three masters in four years. Lea and Betsy provided guidance to what was otherwise a ruleless all male society of over 200 people. But, they kept their hands on the wheel and stabilized the community. He was deeply loved by his family and friends. I remember he always had his camera in his hand when we all traveled to Europe together. He was kind hearted and always had a smile on his face. He will be missed by many. God Bless and rest in peace.
