I had the pleasure of getting to know Mez during the last several years, and she was an amazing person. She was incredibly smart, enormously kind and a hard worker until the end. She was a force for good in her family and community. I only hope I can be like her when I am in my 90s! I will really, really miss her.

She was a very nice lady with a big heart. She was a great asset to Del Rey Oaks school as a principal. I will always remember her for her kindness and patience. My sixth grade teacher wanted to hold me back in school and she stepped in and let me graduate. I will always be thankful to her. The world lost a great lady. My deepest condolences to her family.

Mez was one of a kind! I had the pleasure of having Mez in my life for the past 30 years! I must say how much I admired Mez’s love for her granddaughter, Lisa, and for all she did to keep Gateway Center afloat over the years! She was always so very supportive of me as a person and I loved how she was always spoke her mind, even if you didn’t always agree with what she had to say!
