I just found this. I was Mia's roommate in college and sorority sister for freshman year. I lost touch with her and often wondered what happened to her. I was looking for her tonight. I am so sorry to hear of her passing. She was kind and sweet and quite beautiful when I knew her. She resembled a young Elizabeth Taylor. I know you will miss her.

Mia and her mom Jean did the cutest dance to "Me and My Shadow" back in the 60's at a dance recital.
She was the "shadow", of course, and was just a very little girl at the time. This is a really nice memory I have of the two of them together.

Sorry to here of Mia's passing. Her grandmother shamburger and my grandmother davenport lived next door to each other on 19th avenue in Hattiesburg for over 40 years. my mother(Laverne) and mia's mother(bobbie jean) went to high school together. Mia and I use to play Barbie dolls when she visted her grandmother.
