My Dad was a petroeum Landman and as such needed reliable transportation. His chioice for that was a 1964 Buick "Wildcat". Mikie was given a 1964 GTO to get to school and back. I was "gifted" a 1955 Chevrolet 4 door Biscayne from my brother while he served on active duty with the US Army and was stationed in Panama. At one point in our high school tenure, Mikie lost his driving privelges for getting caught smoking. So I was the "chauffer" for some of his travel needs. He would call to...

One memory that I have of Mikie was that my Dad had purchased a 1964 Buick Wildcat. It was white with a red interior. I didn't get to drive it much (it was his business car) but I remember that the first time I was able to drive it I thought it had a tachometer. It didn't, it was the speedometer needle that was spinning around the dial as I accelerated. One day Dad had me take the car to the Buick dealer for a tune-up.
