Mike was such a wonderful man. Met him in August 1984 as my waiter on the Sunset Limited. It was the week of the 1984 Olympics in Los Angeles. He was so entertaining balancing meals on plates as we deftly walked along the dining car floor as the train jostled down the tracks. My long time friend of 46 years has passed and with him a chapter in the history of my life is now missing. We started work together on the same day in 1968 and enjoyed years of friendship. Mike will be forever missed.

Victoria and I were saddened to hear of Mike's passing and send our condolences to his family and friends. I worked with Mike many, many times over my years with Amtrak and I always looked forward to being on a crew with him.
