In loving memory of a wonderful person. Sincere condolences to the family and friends of Michael Apted.

What a excellent job of directing Mr Michael did on the "Coal Miner's Daughter" movie. I really love that movie and still enjoy watching it. The Actors did a great job under Mr Michael's directions. To Mr Michael's family I do offer you my deepest sympathy.

A truly gifted and talented director, the "Up" series is my favorite documentary of all time. He will be greatly missed.

I am so sorry about the loss of Mike. The Coal Miners Daughter and UP are wonderful movies. The Apted family has my deepest condolences. I pray that you will be surrounded continuously with love and support. And, as you go through this difficult time, may Almighty God give you “everlasting comfort” (2 Thess. 2:16).

In 1974 my son was a child actor in the childhood series "A great day for Bonzo.one day we were way out in the country for filming a long way from our hotel in Alderly Edge, I was in charge of my sons period costume, of which the hat was important, on this particular day I left "the hat"behind bringing filming to a halt, which meant a speedy drive back to the hotel to get it.
I expected to be told in no uncertain terms the havoc I had caused, but instead Michael was a perfect gentleman...
