Not sure what to say?

It is now February 22nd 2024. I was a legal secretary at Godfrey & Kahn from late 1977 until March 1981. Throughout those years I Mike and I crossed paths maybe a mere half dozen times. The firm had two floors and was eloquently spacious. I had my one and only conversation with Mike on a Wednesday morning in March 1981. Mike was my hugh - hugh life savior! We fled that upcoming Saturday morning. Too many coincidences as I was born at St. Anthony's on 10th and Wisconsin Avenue...

I just saw this obituary. 10 years after Mike died. I knew Mike back at Marquette University, where we were both members of Crown and anchor. I lost touch with him after graduation, but I´m not surprised to see that he went on to such a distinguished career. Mike, the days of the parrot are over, and the ostrich has taken flight. Just heard the news of Mike's passing through the Marquette Magazine. What a wonderful presence he wove in and out of my life through the years from high school on. Patricia, my sincere sympathy to you and your sons. Many warm memories!

My deepest sympathy to Mike's family and friends. I met him in 2001, as I recall, in a voice class at UWM. In addition to all the qualities people have mentioned here, he also sang wonderfully, with strength and feeling. I am grateful that I met Mike and heard him sing.

My deepest condolences from my father and I. Our thoughts and prayers go with your family.

Brian, Pat & family,
For years, I admired Mr. Ash's courage, now after reading the article in the MJ, I am much more impressed. He was a strong presence at the WFB HS drama productions, always supporting Brian and our efforts. I am grateful that I got to know him.

Patricia is my hero.

Mike was a champion for individuals with disabilities...a leader that will be missed.
