Michael BAKICH

Mike was a student of mine in a physics class at purdue in the early 1980´s. He was by far the most brilliant student I had the pleasure to teach at Purdue. He was also a delightful human being. For a short time we formed a musical duo. I played guitar and he played harmonica which he was a virtuoso at. I still have some tapes of us. Just a brave, brilliant, and very loving human being. I interviewed him for a job at Riverside Research, which he eventually took. I thought he was extremely bright and had a great attitude. I was hoping to eventually work with him on some real neat projects that I know he would have enjoyed. I regret not having that opportunity.

I worked with Mike many years ago and never forgot what an easy going and humble man he was. He was such a dedicated family man, always putting his wife and young kids first. He was the success story we all admired and was very generous with his knowledge. I offer my sincere condolences to his children and hope you find peace in his loving memories.
