Unfortunately I only knew my Cousin Mickey as a little boy.I'm the eldest of the Kaufman grand children.My dad Jules would take me to Broklyn to vist his sister and his nephews and neices.I got to hang out with the older Beltrami cousins .Mickey was young kid at that time..I really loved my "Italian" Uncle Charlie. My Dad would then take me to Ebbets Field to catch a Dodger game.

"Uncle" Mickey was loved by so many. I was probably 12 before I realized he wasn't my blood uncle, never would have known as he treated me, my sis & brothers as if we were family. He was such a loving, absolutely hysterically funny & caring guy. As kids, when we'd hear we were going to Aunt Dee Dee & Uncle Mickey's we'd get so excited as we knew we were in for great times and a whole lot of laughs. I love the days when you took me to my favorite places. I liked when you made me laugh.I loved that we had "Papa and Me" days at the library. Every Tuesday you took me to dance. I couldn't of asked for a better uncle and godfather. As a child and even as an adult I always had the same feeling of excitement when I drove up to 10 Paine St. I couldn't wait to get out of the car to see Uncle Mickey. I would always find him in one of two spots-his recliner or his outside deck -ready to say hello with a hug and a kiss. I never saw him angry or sad-and he was forever cracking jokes about Grandma and my father.He was one of the brightest lights in our family and I am forever...

There's a new angel in heaven, and his name is Michael Beltrami. A wonderful son, husband, father, grandfather, uncle, brother and friend. Wherever he was, he made people feel at ease with his good humor. He was also very loving and protective of his family. His wife Dee Dee , children and grandchildren, are his treasures as he is also to them. He was always patient and kind to everyone- especially children, always encouraging and always sharing his wisdom and good humor. He will be missed...

Mr. Beltrami was like a father to me for about 8 years. When my father passed away he said that he would be my dad too. These were words that I never forgot. He will always have a special place in my heart. What a wonderful family man that would do anything for them. My love and prayers go out to Mrs. Beltrami and the rest of the family. Rest in peace.

Such a good man taken much too soon. It seems like only yesterday we'd be off to Brooklyn visiting the Beltrami's. Although the apartment may have been small there was nothing small in the amount of love & the welcome feeling there. To this day I am amazed at the table that would be pulled out all the way across the room when we all sat down to ate. There was always an over abundant amount of delicious food. It's a wonder we were able to pull ourselves out of our chairs. I have very happy...
