Not sure what to say?

A note to Michael's family and friends: Just to let you know we haven't forgotten him. We still tell funny stories from the times we had together, and we're carrying on the library work he loved so much in the manner in which he taught us.

It has been a year since you passed away. I still really miss you alot. I am glad that you are now with mom. Love your little sister, Cece

I will never forget Michael. I met him in 1971 in library school and he has been a dear friend ever since. While professionally we may have disagreed, personally we were always close. Michael had a wicked sense of humor and I remember when discussing a new male friend who was much younger than I and about 35 Michael's retort was "ah 35, such a good age for a man" He was generous with his knowledge always willing to help a colleague
He will be missed but not forgotten.

Michael was very welcoming when I joined NCNMLG in 1990. He was very helpful to me as a new medical librarian, and supportive, entertaining, and fun to talk with. I shall miss him.

Michael's contributions to the Northern California Medical Librarians Group were many and welcome. I wish we'd had a chance to thank him before now.

Oh Michael how you will be missed by all of us in Library Land. You were the Prince of Doclines! I fondly remember both of us sharing photos of our dear puppies when we would meet in meetings at MLA. I can't recall you EVER saying no to anyone for a request and your good nature certainly has rubbed off on all of us who had the privilege of knowing you. Rest well, my friend.

I only knew my brother for a short time - seven years, but the times that we had together were a lot of fun and filled with learning about each other. I will certainly miss the chocolate "dog" that Michael sent to me one Christmas just shortly after meeting him - You see - I am his brother that was born when he was about 9 years old - and adopted to a wonderful couple in Idaho. Michael, I spent years searching for you - found you - and now you are gone! It was good meeting you - and I know...

The loss of Michael so very young is sad for all of his Rio Linda HS friends. Most of us were terribly poor-but banded together and made a social life out of our school, it's clubs and any opportunity to dance and have fun. We went our different ways soon after high school, but always held great affection for each other from those early years together. I have wonderful memories of Mike. He was always there if I needed him. It's obvious he lived the rest of his life giving to others. May his...

I was shocked and saddened to hear that Michael has passed away. He and I were good friends in high school. I last spoke with him at my home a year ago. He was one of the most intelligent persons I've known. He will be missed by all who knew him.
