We are sorry to learn so late of Mike's passing. Our sincere sympathy to his family. Not seeing his wonderful smile at events will be a loss to our sport. A gentleman, a credit to the sport of running, a tremendous athlete always. We will miss you Mike, until we all do that long run with you. God Bless.

Mike was one of the toughest competitors in our area. He was a gentleman. We were in many good races together. He will be sorely missed as our elder statesman.

Mike was a big part of my running years. From my first slow jogs along the Bridgeton raceway 30 years ago to his entry in the Frank Webb Memorial Race a few years ago. He was always encouraging and positive. He truly knew his passion in life and shared it generously. One of a kind. He will be missed

Mike was a regular at most of the road races in the South Jersey area throught the 70's, 80's and 90's. A true stoic competitor, he always won his age group and was a friend to all. Those black socks were a tradition we all looked forward to. Rest in peace Mike! Jim Burke
