Not sure what to say?

I was extremely sorry to hear of Mr Bessner's passing. He and my late father were friends, and continued to call each other right up to my father's (Ben Cohen) passing. My sincere condolences to the family.

Dear Bessner Family,
Having just returned from overseas I was saddened to learn of Larry's demise. My brothers and I have had many wonderful connections with Larry over many years.
On a personal level I had the privilege of working with him on many charitable and communal projects. More importantly he was a loyal, supportive and valued friend. We last spoke a few months back when he asked me to provide assistance for someone else..always trying to do a good deed.
Larry will be...

Dear Bryan:

I'm sure I don't have to remind you of the wonderful and strong connection between our two families over two generations.

My deepest sympathies to you, your dear wife and children.

May you all be spared from further sorrow.

Sincerely,

David

Dear Friends,

Please accept my most heartfelt expression of sympathy on Lawrence's death. He was a great source of inspiration and knowledge and he always had a kind word and a pleasant smile as he extended his hand of friendship. Our community has been greatly enriched by his contribution and he will be sorely missed. May you be spared further sorrow.

Sincerely,

The Honourable Gerry Weiner P.C.

As Dean of the Commerce Faculty at Loyola College, Larry hired me as a faculty member in 1968. By then, Commerce had been accepted as a legitimate programme, and was actually flourishing, in an otherwide Liberal Arts college. This acceptance and success was due in large part to Larry's dedicated efforts, and to the respect in which he was held within both the teaching and Jesuit communities. (It even seems to me that he was Father Malone's "favourite" dean.) The next six years under Larry's...

Larry was the best! First met him as the dean of commerce at Loyola and years later following Graduation I met him again as a client.A true professional and excellent human being. Most kind to everyone he met and knoew. His gnerosity is well known. I am now retired and in Australia travelling.
My deepset sympatiy to the Family.

Larry and Terry were two wonderful friends. I remember so many great parties at the house in Hampstead. I will miss them both now. My health does not allow me to visit but be assured of prayers. In all my Loyola years and in all the years since, I have never been able to meet you, Bryan, but I feel I know you. Please accept sincere condolences.

My deepest sympathies to the Bessner family. We have all lost a fine gentleman and friend.

I had the pleasure of knowing "Mr Bessner" at Chateau Westmount where my late mother Olga spent several months. He was always quick to put a smile on our faces and always stopped at our dining room table to say hello or something witty. He will be fondly remembered.
