Not sure what to say?

His rare interview of the famously private artist David Hammons at the artist´s Harlem studio is both classic & now historic.

I came from Berlin and I had the chance to do an intership in 1999/2000 at Michael Blackwood Productions. I learned a lot and Michael let me work on three films: Frank Gehry: An Architecture of Joy (2000), Berlin´s Jewish Museum: A Personal Tour With Daniel Libeskind (2000), Peter Eisenman: Building Germany´s Holocaust Memorial (2005). I started my career with the Blackwood brothers in 1977. I worked on many of their films as a camera assistant, sound recordist, editing assistant and cameraman. It was a wonderful training ground for me and the many others that passed through their doors during those heady times. Those were joyous years and the brothers were excellent mentors. It is very sad to have to close the book on all that. Nancy and Ben, my deepest condolences.

A man with special vision and talent. Time to celebrate the work he has done! Paul Tschinkel, artnewyork.org
