Michael William "Mikie" Boone

In addition to attending every game in which his daughter competed, Mike Boone was observed cheering loudly in the stands, making his daughter’s sports career a finite experience. There are few parents who attend games, but Boone was a parent who guided, taught, supported, and valued his children’s experiences. He was present, and he was a man of both words and actions. My condolences to the family. I will never forget this incredible man.

Michael Boone was an exceptional individual to say the least. I had the pleasure of working with him resurfacing Spartanburg County roads over the past several years and there have been very few people that I have worked with that I can call a friend, but he is one of them. Boone is an awesome man and will be missed. I say “is” and not “was” because he has never been more alive than he is now in the presence of the Lord. His unapologetic faith in the Lord was a great source of encouragement to me.
