Michael Joseph Bowen

Michael Joseph Bowen of Fort Rucker, passed away in Enterprise on Thursday, March 1, 2007, from injuries sustained as a result of the tornado which damaged Enterprise High School. He was 16.

Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m., Monday, March 5, 2007, at Main Post Chapel, Fort Rucker with Father Ed Martin officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memory Gardens, Ozark, with Searcy Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m., Sunday, March 4, 2007, at the funeral home.

Michael was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Diane Bowen and his paternal grandfather, J.C. Williams and his uncle, Charles Steward.

Surviving are his parents, Angela and LaVaughn Steward and Stan Williams; three sisters, Kathryn Steward, Leah Steward, Carolyn Steward; brothers, Erik Steward, Shaun Williams, Justin Williams, all of Daleville; maternal grandparents, Joe and Lexie Bowen, Ozark; maternal great-grandfather, Joseph Bowen, Rickledge, Fla.; maternal great-grandmother, Jane Connelly; paternal grandmother, Grace Williams, Daleville; paternal great-grandmother, Lillian Scott, Ga.; paternal step-grandparents, Charles and Yvonne Steward, Prairieville, La.; maternal uncle, Joey Bowen, Naples, Fla.; maternal aunts, Julie and Bill McConnell, Bethlehem, Ga.; Rechelle and Patrick Cook, Dothan; Erika Taylor, Naples, Fla.; several maternal cousins; paternal uncles, Sherrod Williams, Steven Williams; paternal aunts, Katrina Williams, Tamara Steward, La.; Latassa and Lamont Watts, Va.; several paternal cousins.
