Not sure what to say?

My condolences to his friends and family. Mr. Brieger taught advanced math at Vandercook Lake (class of 1984). His clear instruction prepared me well for my math and engineering courses at Michigan Tech. So sad to hear of his passing, he will be missed.

I am so proud to have had Mike for a brother. As a teacher he modeled the best of a man, caring for his students and generous with his time. I only regret that due to distance we did not have more time together as adults. I treasure the memory of our last golf game together and his skill playing with his ancient clubs. I will miss you Mike.

Sorry I missed the funeral services, I enjoyed working with Mike at Ella Sharp. Prayers and condolences to the family and friends!

My condolences and prayers to all of you. I worked with Mike at Jackson High and he was truly devoted to the success of his students and always a professional. He had my utmost respect as a teacher. What a wonderful family he left behind. Kathy, my thoughts are with you in a special way...God bless, Mary and Charley Belknap

Mr. Brieger was my geometry teacher at Jackson High. I was NOT a strong math student and geometry really threw me for a loop. But I remember that Mr. Brieger met me and other students before school to help us. He would also make himself available after class.
He was patient too -- explaining concepts multiple times without showing any frustration or ever making me feel bad for not "getting it". While geometry was not my favorite subject by any stretch, Mr. Brieger's commitment to...

A gentle soul. Forgiving. Not one to speak negatively about anyone. Hard working. Great at puzzles and liked to read mysteries. Enjoyed keeping active. Liked family gatherings. Grateful. Kind. My brother. I miss him.

I had Mr. Brieger for Algebra and Advanced Algebra at Jackson High (class of 97). He was my favorite Math teacher. Although I never loved math, he always explained it in a way I could understand. For that reason alone is why I have remembered him over the years. I also appreciate him for the days he let me sleep peacefully in class! :). My deepest condolences to his family and friends. He was a good man!

Saddened to hear of Mike's death. Mike and I umpired several hundred high school ball games over the years. He had kind words for everyone. I shall keep the family in my thoughts and prayers.
