Tony...I got to know Michael during his long stay with us on IMCU in the hospital... I work the day shift and was so happy to know him. He cherished his many years with you, as he talked of you often. The last thing I remember him saying to me was...Tony and I have had a lifetime together of many good years. More than most married couples have had. I wish I had met you. Michael was a wonderful man, and I am so sorry for your loss...So greatful I got to know him as I am sure you have many...

Michael was an artist, a deeply loving and compassionate friend, family member, and colleague, whose grace touched all who knew him. His faith was inspiring, and I rejoice in knowing he is with his beloved Savior, and finally free from all the discomfort of his last few months. My favorite memory of my dear friend is the way his face would light up when he sang, especially when he lifted his voice praising God. No one who saw that could ever forget it -- his beautiful soul just shone! ...
