Not sure what to say?

I have missed Michael as my friend for too long. I think of him so often in remembering him fondly in many, many ways. His brilliance, modesty and humor above all! Joseph Simmons, Longview, Texas (moved from Houston 2015)

Time has not erased the memories I have of Michael. He was a wonderful friend, and this anniversary has just reminded me of my loss. Best to Bart, someone I never met but know his loss. Joseph E. Simmons, Longview, Texas.

Never forgotten!

We miss you Michael. Thanksgiving won't be the same without you. We love you. Mary Jo and your Thibodaux family

I first met Michael at his lecture on the Wilson Potters during their exhibit at the MFAH. We became dear friend & had many conversations about Wilson Geneology. Micheal would often go out of his way to call me and suggest diffrent possble donors for our Foundation and was our first Guest Speaker at our annual fundraiser. Michael was exceptional and we will always remember his kind and thoughtful manner.

The world will be an emptier place without Michael. We have lost a gentle man.

How overwhelmingly sad to loose such a wonderful, talented, generous and delightful person. I know the love of many folks are with Bart and the Brown family, and all of us enjoy memories of a fine person.

Michael and I were friends for some 30 years. He was unique in his optimistic love of life, his deeply felt concern for others, his wry sense of humor, his remarkable connoisseurship, his meticulous scholarship, and his dedication to Bayou Bend. We all miss him deeply and extend our heartfelt sympathy to Bart.

We will all miss Michael. He was such a fine person, always sweet to everyone.
