I first met Michael at his lecture on the Wilson Potters during their exhibit at the MFAH. We became dear friend & had many conversations about Wilson Geneology. Micheal would often go out of his way to call me and suggest diffrent possble donors for our Foundation and was our first Guest Speaker at our annual fundraiser. Michael was exceptional and we will always remember his kind and thoughtful manner.

How overwhelmingly sad to loose such a wonderful, talented, generous and delightful person. I know the love of many folks are with Bart and the Brown family, and all of us enjoy memories of a fine person.

Michael and I were friends for some 30 years. He was unique in his optimistic love of life, his deeply felt concern for others, his wry sense of humor, his remarkable connoisseurship, his meticulous scholarship, and his dedication to Bayou Bend. We all miss him deeply and extend our heartfelt sympathy to Bart.
