Mr. Michael J. Browne, 75, husband of Roberta A. Browne, passed away Thursday, May 16, 2013 at Rainey Hospice House, Anderson.

Born in Red Oak, Iowa, the son of the late Martin and Julia Browne, Mr. Browne retired as an engineer with Dayco Mark IV Industries and was a member of St. Lukes Catholic Church. He was a US Navy Veteran.

Surviving, in addition to his wife of the home, are two daughters, Michelle Weitekamp of Stafford, Virginia, and Margaret "Maggie" Lane (Kenneth) of Waterloo, Belgium; one brother, Thomas Browne of Tuscon, Arizona; one sister, Eileen Hennen (Kenneth); a brother-in-law, Edward Curtin; and six grandchildren, Michael and Megan Weitekamp, and Alec, Ben, Will, and Sam Lane. In addition to his parents, Mr. Browne was predeceased by a sister, Mary Curtin.

A Funeral Mass will be from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. Monday, May 20, 2013 at St. Luke's Catholic Church. Burial will follow in the M.J. Dolly Cooper Veteran's Cemetery with military honors.

Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. Sunday, May 19, 2013 at Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown.

The family is at the home.
