Michael P. Burkhardt

Mr. Michael “Mike” P. Burkhardt departed this life on Monday, November 30, 2020 at Hunter Holmes McGuire VA Medical Center. He was born October 29, 1969 in Richmond, Virginia. Mike was preceded in death by his grandmother, Lounel, son of Charles A Burkhardt and Theresa G Huddleston. Mike is survived by his wife, Dana Burkhardt; daughter, McKell Burkhardt; grandchildren Micah and Mia; sister, Pam; brother, Robbie; best friend, Wilbur aka Lee Franklin; and other loving friends and extended family.

He graduated Thomas Jefferson High School.  He immediately served as an U.S. Navy. He devoted 30 plus years to the manufacturing industry as a Lead Operator. His fondest memories included: golfing, fishing, and watching sport events. 

He will be cherished and adored in the hearts of many. 

A memorial service will be held 1:00 P.M., Sunday, December 13, 2020 at the Chapel of J.M. Wilkerson Funeral Establishment, Inc., 102 South Avenue, Petersburg, VA. A repast service will be announced by the family at his residence.

Any monetary contributions are appreciated by his wife to defray costs of burial expenses.
