Not sure what to say?

Val Johnson: I've been thinking. The best part about Mike is that EVERYONE has a good Mike story. It's good to know that he lived a full life and had the ability to touch so many. Think about your favorite Mike moment. If you really think about it, it's moments (plural vs singular).

LaToya White: Still at a lost of word...but I truly blessed and happy to say that I got to know you and share a lot of laughs at the Waters! You will be missed!

Byron Purdy: U will be dearly...

Gone But Not Forgotten - A Legacy

Mike, all I can say is you left behind - a legacy. If anyone needed an example of how to leave this earth – they should have been at your Home going Celebration! Just to witness the Love; it was purely amazing. From the Youth Group at Central Church of Christ, your Christian Family, your co-workers, your Mason Brothers, your Alpha Phi Alpha Brother, your National Pan-Hellenic Council Family, your friends and acquaintances and finally your immediate family – Words Cannot Express. In this...

Our prayers and deepest condolences to the Butler family. Mike was a great guy who everybody loved and will be missed by many. May God comfort you during this difficult time.

Bro. Michael Butler will be missed. From day one when I met Bro. Butler, he always exemplified greatness with his character. I will always remember the discussions and questions he would ask me whenever we got together, but more importantly the lasting smile he would present. Bro. Butler, you will be missed my Brother. Sonya, I will be praying for you and your family. This is Earl Adams and Mary L. Baylor's Son, Allen, which I grew up with you and Raylan. Sincerely, Bro. Allen Baylor...

To the family;
This is certainly a trying time and you're going to go through it together. Michael is truly going to be missed. God makes no mistakes. Though we try to prepare ourselves, we are never prepared enough. However, there is a compassionate God in heaven who knows all things, sees all things; and who cares and gives comfort. Our loved ones depart, but never their love and never the blessings and joys that they brought us. May you feel God's presence as you grieve the loss of...

When I first met you, you were Mickey and when we began to attend college together you were Michael and for all you have done for your family and the community you were definitely Brother Butler. Its amazing to see the transition of a true man of honor and integrity. You completed in your youthful 32 years a life that many couldn’t have asked for in 90. My prayers and sympathy to Sonya, Doris and the boys. Maria, feel free to call if ever you need too. You all are in my heart and prayers.

Mike you will be missed. I still remember those criminal justice classes that we had and those good old debates at UWW. You brought joy and laughter to the room. My deepest sympathy to Sonya, the boys, and the entire family. Sonya just remember he is in heaven watching over you and the boys.

To the Butler Family, our prayers are with you. Mr. Butler as I knew him was a wonderful being. He is one who left a lasting impression on you. Gone but not forgotten. I pray that God would sustain you in your time of lost. Lean on him when you are not sure what else to do. I know he will see you through. God Bless You All
