I met Mike through Massachusetts Citizens for Life, and I knew his mother, Monica, through MCFL also. Mike and I rode the bus to Washington, D.C. together to the March for Life, at least a couple of times. He was accompanied by at least one of his sons. Mike was a true Christian gentleman and devoted family man. I admired him and I am grateful for the time we spent together. -- Rob Hale, Glastonbury, CT.

I saw the article in the Record about the bench his classmates dedicated to Mike and just reminded me how much he was loved. Whenever I go there I touch the bench in memory of my favorite player. Coach Hildreth

Mr. Butler was my CCD teacher when I was a kid. I will always remember him as a great and honorable man.

I am deeply saddened to hear of Mike's passing. He has kept in touch through the years and never seemed to have aged. We would talk about old times playing basketball in high school or him tutoring me in trig class. Great sense of humor and a great smile. My condolences to the entire Butler family. May he rest in peace.

Dear Michelle and family, sorry to hear of Michael and your father passing away. As Michelle knows, I worked with your Dad at CF and played basketball with him many times, which was thoroughly fun and enjoyable. Mike was a solid guy and will be missed by many people. May you live with Mike's spirit daily and have a good peace of mind in the future.
