Not sure what to say?

So sorry for the loss of Dr. Campbell. I worked with him off and on when he covered our Cancer Center. He was a joy to work with.

I first met " Doc " when we were both owners of property at St. Francis Place in downtown Mobile, Alabama..We would pass away hours talking about National politics, medicine, the military, the Catholic faith, Spring Hill Collage, Georgetown Collage, and the local city government. Lory loved and respected American history....Especially Southern history and culture..Who else could talk me into visiting Oxford, Mississippi with the single purpose of seeing the home of William Faulkner...He knew...

He gave so much to his friends family and patients. I loved his great stories of the history of Mobile and especially of Medicine. My nursing career started at what we now call UAB and we shared many stories of physicians we knew there. Great memories Lory and rest in peace

Lory was a true Renaissance man. He will be missed. Our deepest sympathy on your loss.

What an amazing man! Dr. Campbell was without a doubt one of the most memorable residents we had at Mercy Medical's Portier Place. As administrator, I wasn't supposed to have any favorite residents, but I did, and he was one of them. We had such fabulous discussions, many jokes and laughs. Offering our sincere condolences during this time of deep sorrow. My brother was a student at Spring Hill before serving in the US Navy. Commendations on your contributions to Mobile and the State of Alabama. May God be with the family during this most difficult time.

Lory was a dear friend to Rodgers and me. He was also a colleague to Rodgers and a medical professor to me. I loved his wit and wisdom. He and Rodgers could spend hours talking about old Mobile and just about anything. We enjoyed many evenings watching the sunset and having cocktails on his pier. They loved watching Alabama football and could get very vocal. He was a brilliant physician and a true gentleman. I will really miss him.
