Mike was a very gifted and talented man, a real leader with many interests and lasting friendships. I was very fortunate to have trained with Mike in Korean Karate under Grand Master Byung Yul Lee in Crystal MN during the 1970s and early 1980s. Mike was a mentor and "big brother", helping me and others develop their skills and prepare for competitions. I will always remember Mike, and be grateful for his friendship.
