Not sure what to say?

Mr Carney was my third grade teacher.. he was the best! Him and his super salty popcorn machine. He will be missed.

Mr. Carney was my teacher almost 40 years ago. I still remember him teaching us greater than and less than. He was so kind.

my deepest sympathy

It is with great sadness that I have learned of Mike Carney´s passing. I worked with Mike at Division Street School from 1992 until to he transfered to Maple Avenue Middle School. Mike was an exceptional third grade teacher. He was loved by his students and respected by his peers His work on our first shared decision making team was exemplary. His unit of study on Native Americans was outstanding with some of the highest levels of student enthusiasm and learning that I have ever observed....

Mike was a fantastic teacher who my two sons LOVED. Our whole family are so sorry to hear of his passing.

Fondest memories of Mike and the Carney's .. Joe & Dodie, Bill, Carol .. Armory Little League .. sad to hear of his passing but not surprised by the respect of those who knew him throughout his life .. rest easy Mike ... H. Connell, Portland, ME.

So sad to read of Mr. Carney´s passing. He was my Social Studies and English teacher back when I was in 6th grade at the middle school (2003). He always made us laugh and made learning a lot of fun. May his family take solace in knowing how much of a positive impact he had on all who knew him.

Diane, Tim and Chris, I am so sorry to hear of Mikes passing. We taught together at Lake Ave and again at Middle School. He was a wonderful teacher and friend and a fellow Trojan. Sincerely, Mo Walsh

We are so sorry to learn of Mike's passing. He was both a neighbor at one point and a fellow teacher. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family. Jeannie and Ed Hall
